Over a year in fact. Many things changed the around that Christmas when I stopped blogging. My husband of 7 years left me for another woman. I tried ignoring the warning signs. Never do that. It was a struggle at first, the girls and I cried for days. But we pulled ourselves together and with the help of friends and family I moved on. The girls are doing better now, but Lily, who is about to turn 8, is still having some trouble with it. Moose, 5, just keeps rolling with the punches. She's such a trooper.
As I pulled myself back together, I bought a van from my sister, got my own apartment, and went back to school. Currently I'm also working part time as well. The ex (who trapped me at home cause our car was broken) still doesn't have his vehicle fixed. Instead he uses his girlfriends, who he moved into our old home as soon as I left it. I love the new place. Not being in that house is a HUGE relief. I hated it there.
Living alone has its major perks, and I'm learning some distinct disadvantages as well. My friends and family have been amazingly supportive throughout it, some, like T, since the night everything went down. Other friends, like J, I've found along the way am extremely lucky to have her. I am extremely lucky to have the friends I have and I know this.
I don't know if I'll keep up with the blog this time. I've been so very busy. I'm going to try however. It may be more of a journal as time goes though. We shall see.
